Situated on Victoria Street, Darlinghurst, this eatery specialises in the traditional Italian ‘pizza-al-metro’ or ‘pizza by the metre’. The existing split-level tenancy was modified to improve the functionality of available space. The central feature of the interior was a large “window” into the kitchen which gave patrons a clear view of the theatrics around the making of the pizzas. The generous new volume of the main space was further enhanced by 2 oversized rear-illuminated images which were recognizably ‘Italian’. Finishes were deliberately selected to support these design features and to emphasise the sense of drama within the new interior.
